Society has drilled into HS grads brain that college is the only answer so its not as uncommon as it used to be thus the university needs to raise the price of tuition. Students might not find a job out of college after doing 4 years so that diploma is just paper at that point. The students can see how much demand is in that field, so it might easier for them to find a job
